Today’s Dish March 2026
1. Pleashca Index - Bisgort

We gave the viral ‘ Japanese cheesecake’ in a young pot its chance.
We make it. We waited patiently. We chilled it as they said. We taste it with our open minds. And the result?
No.
Let’s be fair first: it is not bad if you approach it for what it actually is - a rich, high-fat protein yogurt softened caramelized biscuits. If that sounds good to you, then you may enjoy it.
But let’s be clear. It is absolutely not a cheesecake.
Not in texture, not in taste. Not in feel. Not in spirit.
It is too rich, too heavy, too dense to pass as the light, creamy thing it is trying to imitate. The biscuits soften from the moisture and create a layered dessert-like effect, yes, but that still does not make it cheesecake. It makes it yogurt with soft biscuits.
Which is fine. But call it that.
We used 12 biscuits, and yes, 10 may have been slightly better. But let’s be honest: that would not have changed the category of the thing. It may have improved the balance a little, but it would still be what it is.
So this is our final verdict:
Photogenic? Yes.
Inedible? No.
Cheesecake? Absolutely not.
Pleashca Index entry approved for what it tries to sell, not for what it actually is.
