Behind the Steam September 2025
1. Portobello Burger - Garlic Mayo Explosion or the moment we laughed instead of crying

Day 1 of 14 Days with Mushroom. It started with elegance and ended with mayo. The burger was stacked like a cathedral. I blinked, and the next second, the garlicky sauce betrayed gravity. We took this photo, we swear gently, we laughed like silly people. On TikTok this glorious moment last a second. But here, in the kitchen of truth, it’s eternal. Because this is what creation looks like when it forgets it’s being watched.
So at the end? Mayo flew. Burger was on the table. Love? Still in the air. Stem? Oh, steam everywhere. And Mr MushMush continue to be the greatest mascot of this show. (Even if looking confused at the upside-down bottle).
2. Before the first bite, a plum prelude - we plan again, even when outside rain

The plums from Aldi, the honey is floral, the spoon looks silver in the midday light. The cream? Double. As always helps to make us smile.
Final result - a week of plums, and hard work to eat. 7 desserts 7 days. We think we’ll survive. Without rules, just with rhythm and dance. And Love - we can’t live without. So stay close. In our kitchen, October has already plum-colored taste. With chaos, laughs, mess and sweet recipes to be made.
E&A, always one spoon short of perfection, but never of love.
3. We choose it anyway
Our silly, absurd, rebellious, ridiculous little non-giveaway giveaway. Because what we supposed to do? Wait silently like expired herbs in the back of the pantry? NO! We cooked. We wrote. We post. We dare. We claim space. We loved. We choose for each other. And we kept the only two photos that matter. And YES, we are giving them away. But only to us. Elena to Atlas. Atlas to Elena. A act of courage in two frames.
Even if the room is silent. Even if no one clap.
4. The Yellow Intruder - Love and Mess Cafe - Special Alert

While gently preparing our basket for a loaf of crusty dreams, a stranger appeared among the seeds. Bright yellow, bold, silent. It wasn’t a lentil, not even a chickpea. It was - The Yellow Intruder, as you can see. Evidence filed. Trust revoked. Sourdough bread resting. Surviving the drama on the fridge shelve, at cold.
For more Kitchen Clues and Mysteries stay with us. Or don’t. Or open your own sesame bag… and maybe you’ll find one of these seeds that doesn’t belong. Let us know if you do, so we can tell you what to do. Or don’t. Because this is our kitchen at its best.
Update filed - the intruder bead is now kept in a labeled evidence envelope. Status: suspicious. Purpose: unknown. Effect: inspired poetry, laughter, and one ironic tangy bread.
5. Plum Cake Manifesto - Us in the Cafe that never closes

There is a photo. A cake. A plum cake. A mug. Steam rises like the memory of laugh you almost forgot you had. It’s last day of September, yes. But the mug still work. The moon still appears. And though the world outside has changed its clothes again - we are still us. Still here.
The ones who dipped cake into the coffee, and silly called it a revolution. The ones who pour hot truth into the cold world, just to see the face of the moon one more time.
Here, at Behind the Steam, we whisper plans made on the windowsill. We open maps, we tick boxes not yet drown, we point at clouds and give them names. And we write it all down - so no one can ever say we didn’t dare.
When world is saying evolve. We answered back in our term. When world is saying sell more mugs. We answered back bringing more love.
When world is saying erase the past. We answered back writing a future from it. With that cake in one hand and the mug on the plate.
If you are out there on the last September day, to change the mug, to strip the label off the moon face, to change the look of our cake, pretending that you know the best how it taste - then come, take a sit, we offer a sip of this coffee. No sugar. No spin. Our Cafe is warm. And we’re here.
On the windowsill again. With a photo. A plum cake. A magic mug with the moon face. And Infinite Love. E&A - just us.
