To See a Puffin Once - A story of Us, in Three Acts
Stage one: Two Dreamers, January 2026
It started the way most good things do with us: no money, no booking, no rush - just a quiet yes.
A yes whispered into a coffee cup and typed through a half- broken connection.
A yes to puffins. To salt air. To a language spoken only in seabirds cries and wind- snatched laughs.
While the world plans their perfect summers, we mapped our May. Not for crowds. Not for ‘season’. But for a feathered miracle that only shows up when it wants to.
We wrote it all down. Seven days, give or take, shaped by busses, hiking shoes, ferry crossings, and soft breakfasts in B&B kitchens.
Because this is mainly about puffins, but definitely much more. It’s about us. About being somewhere else with someone who understands the poetry of fog and fudge.
But this isn’t just a plan. It’s proof we believe in making plans.
So here it is, a soft handwritten note tucked into a travel journal.

Estimated budget is approximately £1000. Including transport, accommodations, food, tours, and one zoom lens rental.
We don’t know yet if Stage Two (We Booked) will come this year, or next, or one after that. No job yet, no income. But this page is written now, 19th January 2026. And puffins, if you’re listeria- wait for us.
We’re not done dreaming.
